Manufactured from PEEK™, Tefzel® (ETFE), Delrin®, Polypropylene and Kel-F® (PCTFE)
Upchurch Scientific® Low Pressure Unions are available in a variety of polymers, providing several low-cost and chemically-resistant options. PEEK unions have excellent chemical resistance to organic and inorganic liquids. ETFE polymer is also very resistant to chemical attack (except by chlorinated solvents). Delrin has excellent chemical resistance to most organic chemicals and neutral pH aqueous solvents; however, it should NOT be used with acids or bases. Polypropylene offers a low-cost alternative with marginal chemical resistance, while PCTFE offers very good chemical compatibility and durable threading.
Use soft tubing, made from FEP, PFA, or ETFE, when using ETFE unions with ETFE nuts and ferrules.
